UC Riverside Highlanders got their first Big West conference win against the UC Irvine Anteaters at the Student Rec Center with a final score of 87-75. The Highlanders came into the game against the Anteaters with a record of (0-10) and (4-19),while the Anteaters came in with a record of (5-4) and (12-11).  In the first half of play,the Anteaters started off pretty strong and put points on the board early on against the Highlander defense. The Anteaters largest lead was by 13 points at 4:55 to go.The Highlanders started to fight back towards the end and went into the half 34-41. The Highlanders went 15-29 from 2 point range,4-9 from 3 point range and 0-0 from the line,while the Anteaters went 14-36 from 2 point range,2-9 from beyond the arch and 0-0 from the line.
