L.A. Kings win second Stanley Cup title in three seasons

The Los Angeles Kings win the Stanley Cup title after defenseman Alec Martinez scored the game winning-goal with 14:43 remaining in double overtime to defeat the New York Rangers, 3-2, in Game 5. It is the second Stanley Cup title victory for the Kings in three seasons.

Kings’ Justin Williams has been named the 2014 NHL’s Stanley Cup playoffs MVP.

The Rangers and Kings played in three overtime games during the series, two of which went into double overtime.
