The Los Angeles Lakers finished off their seven game road trip against the defending champion Miami Heat in a losing effort, 107-97, on Feb. 10.
The Lakers came out with determination in the first half as they faced the Heat, who holds the best record in the Eastern Conference).
Going into the final quarter, Miami was able to gain momentum, which gave them an edge against a Lakers team, who are still trying to find that rhythm that the team so desperately needs to make a run at the playoffs.
It was an up and down game for both teams but Miami, who are last in the league in rebounding, out rebounded the Lakers 38 to 29. The Lakers’ 14 total turnovers were also a big part of Miami’s 19 fast break points.
If the Lakers want to secure a spot in the playoffs, there has got to be more consistent team ball, more defense and less off the court drama.
