Chip Kelly adds former Oregon QB Dennis Dixon to Eagles offense


QB Dennis Dixon signs a two year deal with the Eagles.

Dixon played quarterback at Oregon with Eagles head coach Chip Kelly as his offensive coordinator in 2007.

Dixon was named Pac-10 player of the year in 2007 after completing 67.7 percent of his passes and throwing for 2,136 yards and 20 touchdowns with 4 intercepts. Dixon also had 583 rushing yards with nine rushing touchdowns.

Dixon has only played in four games during his five year career, but is 2-1 as a starter. Dixon is also coming off winning a Super Bowl as a backup quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens. Dixon was also a member of Super Bowl XLIII.
