Blackhawks rally back late to claim Stanley Cup

By James Williams

The Chicago Blackhawks defeat the Boston Bruins, 3-2, in Game 6 to win the Stanley Cup.

The Bruins lead the game in the 3rd period, 2-1, until the Blackhawks scored a game tying goal with 1:16 left.

As the clock went under a minute, overtime appeared to be near for two teams in Game 6.

The Blackhawks were not thinking overtime as the team followed their game-tying goal with a game-winning goal with 58.3 seconds left in the 3rd period.

Blackhawks right winger Patrick Kane was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy after the game, which goes to the playoff MVP.

The Blackhawks have won the Stanley Cup for the second time in four years.
