Survivor Series was held in Boston, in the home state of current World Heavyweight Champion John Cena’s state of Massachusetts, in the TD Garden Arena. The theme song was “How I feel” by Flo Rida, who is very familiar to the WWE, as he performed in the WWE’s WrestleMania 28, cheering on The Rock.
The first match.. well….. It was a pre-show match….. Enough said.
The Miz def. Kofi Kingston via Submission. I hate the way they turned the Miz heel all because some fans booed him. So what? John Cena has been getting booed for YEARS. And little children still wet the bed at nights over him. Besides, I think the WWE is having WAY too hard of a time deciding whether they want Miz to be heel or face. Moving on!
The second match was a traditional 5 on 5 Survivor Series match.
The Shield (Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins) along with The Real Americans (Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro) w/ Zeb Colter ringside def. The current WWE Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes(c), Goldust (c), The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso), along with the returning injury prone Rey Mysterio. The sole survivor was Roman Reigns who speared literally 3 or 4 of the opposing team, causing them to win. If the Shield were to ever split, Roman Reigns would have a great main event run in the WWE.
The third match was for the Intercontinental Championship.
Big E. Langston (c) def. Curtis Axel to retain the championship.
I didn’t expect Curtis Axel to win back the title after just losing it the week before. Way too obvious, WWE. However, I am glad that Big E. retained at Survivor Series. The WWE forced that Intercontinental Championship on Curtis Axel only because of his father, Mr. Perfect. Sad to say, Curtis Axel has NOTHING to offer as Champion. In due time, buddy.
The fourth match was a Divas Match! YAY! (Note sarcasm)
Traditional 7 on 7 divas match:
Team Total Divas (Natalya, The Bella Twins , The Funkadactyls (Naomi and Cameron) (Eva Marie and JoJo) defeated Team “True Divas” (WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee (c), Tamina Snuka, Kaitlyn, Alicia Fox, Rosa Mendes, Aksana, & Summer Rae). To me, it looked like a bunch of skinny chicks running around the ring with their heads cut off. Sorry? Oh, and they made AJ Lee look like a complete punk out there. I will say that JoJo impressed me! She’s small, but she can move! I doubt that the WWE has any thing for her as of right now, but I can assure you that 2014 has some good things in store for her! And she’s HOT!
The fifth match was an impromptu match, which “wasn’t planned”… yea, we know better.
Mark Henry def. Ryback
I’m glad that Mark Henry returned (as he hyped it up on twitter), but the problem is that big guys like himself tend to get very tired, very fast. Not only could you see how exhausted he was, but you could also take 2 bathroom breaks and not miss a thing. The match was absolutely slow. Way too slow in my opinion. But I will give it to him, he has lost a lot of weight, and for his size and age, he did what he could only do best. Welcome to the hall of pain Ryback!
The sixth match was for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
John Cena (c) def. Alberto Del Rio to retain the championship.
Do I like Cena? Absolutely not! But I am glad that he won. John Cena is insanely over with the children, (not so much the adults), and I believe that he could bring spark into the championship. Congrats Cena!
The seventh match:
CM Punk and Daniel Bryan (The Beard and The Best) defeated The Wyatt Brothers (Luke Harper and Erick Rowan) w/ Bray Wyatt ringside. I like how The Beard and The Best won without exactly making the Wyatts look like punks, or chumps. Very good match last night. I am very pleased with the way it turned out.
And LASTLY for the WWE Championship the MAIIIIIIIIIN EVENT!
Randy Orton (c) def. The Big Show
With the help of Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and Kane. Its clearly not Big Shows time, and the format of the match was great. Its something about people winning unconscious….. It makes things more suspenseful. WE ALL SAW IT COMING WWE! MY GOD! WHAT THE HECK DO YOU EXPECT! JESUS CHRIST YOU FREAKING IDIOTS!!!…. I’m finished.
So pretty much, the champions that had to defend their titles won. And the people that didn’t have to defend their titles lost…… Stevie Wonder could see all of this coming.
-(c) refers to the champions heading into the match.
