Coaching against the Packers may cost you your job

Playing the Green Bay Packers may cost you your job this season.

The Packers have played both NFC rivals, the Dallas Cowboys in week 9 and the Minnesota Vikings in week 11 back to back with a bye week in between.

after the Cowboys lost to the Packers with a final score of 45-7. the Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones had no choice but to fire the head coach Wade Phillips the next day and promote offensive coordinator Jason Garrett to head coach.

Garrett changed the way the Cowboys practiced and went into their game preparation, which lead to a win last week over the New York Giants and this week over the Detroit Lions.

After the Packers week 10, bye week they traveled to Minnesota to take on a drama-filled Vikings team at Mall of America Field.

After getting WR Sidney Rice back from injury, the Vikings plugged him into the line up looking to get a win against Vikings QB Brett Favre’s former team, the Packers, in what was support to be the Vikings last stand and chance to stay in the playoff chase.

After another disappointing performance by the Vikings, losing at home to the Packers by a score of 31 to 3, the Vikings owner had seen enough and had to fire coach Brad Childress.

Some reasons being the team’s disappointing record and the other events that lead up to this, including Childress releasing Randy Moss earlier in the season without consulting the team owner and the players anonymously saying they are playing for each other and not the coach.

With Childress being fired today, Vikings owner Zigi Wilf promoted defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier to head coach.

The newest dilemma was if Frazier would continue to start Favre for the remainder of the season. Frazier answered that question by saying he would start Farve which probably eliminated any rumors that would have been start by the press throughout the week if it was not answered sooner.

The Packers play the San Francisco 49ers in a few weeks, whose had their coach’s job in question, with that being 49ers coach Mike Singletary.

We will have to wait and see if he can remain their coach after the game.
