Riverside Community College women’s basketball team fell short against Saddleback College, 55-48, despite of a late rally at California Baptist University in a Orange Empire Conference game.

The Saddleback Gauchos began the game with an early first half 12-1 scoring run against the RCC Tigers, with 14:41 remaining in the 1st half.

The Tigers managed to rally back and force the first lead change of the game, leading 22-21 with 1:44 remaining in the first half.

The Tigers took the lead into halftime over the Gauchos, 24-23.

The Gauchos dominated the second half after trailing by one at halftime.

The Gauchos came out strong in the 2nd half out scoring the Tigers by eight points.

With the loss against the Gauchos, the Tigers are now 7-15 on the season and a 1-5 in the Orange Empire Conference.

The Gauchos are now 18-4 and move to 4-2 in OEC games.
