Driver Jason Leffler dies after crash

Driver Jason Leffler, 37, has died after a sprint car crash at Bridgeport Speedway in New Jersey.

Leffler won championships in open-wheel divisions and had attempted at least one season in each of NASCAR’s three national series.

The Driver was in second place during the first heat race at Bridgeport Speedway, when his car flipped several times on the front straightaway.

Leffler was a 12-year racing veteran.
