Monday must have been a very good day for Philadelphia Eagles fans and fantasy football owner’s of the re-emerging Michael Vick.
Since Vick has returned to football and been named the starter, He has played great and would be among the leaders for the MVP title this year, if it wasn’t for an injury during the first meeting with the Washington Redskins at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, that had kept him out of action for three weeks of the season.
On Monday, He played against the Redskins, in their second meeting of the season, this time at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland. It had seemed like Vick wanted to give a little payback to Washington. He came out in the first half and led the Eagles to a 35-0 score before the Redskins could even score their first seven points of the game.
Vick set many team records in this game as they soared to a victory, winning 59-28 and tying for first in the NFC East.
Eagles go back home next week to take on a tough New York Giants team, who are looking to bounce back from a shocking loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
The Eagles and Giants are the co-leaders in the NFC East and the winner of next weeks match up will gain the lead of that division.
