The Valley View Eagles defeat the Patriot Warriors 38-20 on Sept. 7.
The Eagles headed into the locker room with momentum after quarterback Abraham Nuno connected with wide receiver Marlon Archer for a 19-yard touchdown pass, leaving four seconds remaining in the first half.
The Eagles missed out on valuable points after being successful on only one two point conversions on three different attempts. They also had a field goal blocked.
Warriors’ quarterback JD Hernandez threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Braden Harris for an early 7-6 lead with two minutes left in the first quarter.
The Eagles responded to the Warriors’ touchdown quickly with a 70-yard kick return by the Eagles’ kick returner Alberto Vargas.
The Eagles improve to 1-2 this season and will look to build off the win against Hemet on Sept 14.
The Warriors will look to regroup after the loss as they play King High on Sept. 13. The Warriors are currently 1-1 this season.
